EXEDY RACING STAGE 1 FULL ORGANIC SINGLE PLATE clutches are engineered, designed and built from the ground up as race clutches, not rebuilt from stock clutches that have been modified. EXEDY organic (full-face) racing clutch kit is most ideal for street vehicle where it requires smooth engagement but requires that extra holding capacity. All Exedy racing pressure plates are made from ductile iron which is about 30-40% stronger than conventional cast iron pressure plates other racing clutch manufactures use. Exedy Racing Stage 1 clutch kit with organic friction materials use only premium friction materials that are resistant to slippage and burst.

EXEDY organic clutches can also handle modified engines due to the increased clamp loads. Drivability with EXEDY organic clutches is similar to that of stock clutches. Pedal efforts will be slightly higher due to the higher clamp loads. As with all EXEDY clutch discs, EXEDY organic clutches feature high capacity spring center dampers designed to reduce drivetrain shock and impact. Increased clamp loads give the necessary capacity to handle modified engines. Preferred clutch for street and light horse power track.The driveability will be like a stock clutch. Pedal efforts will be higher because of the higher clamp loads. All of the EXEDY clutch discs have high capacity spring center dampers to reduce the drive train shock and impact. This newly developed asbestos free friction facing is used, which has high heat resistance and high burst strength characteristics. No steel back is required which can cause high RPM "lockout" and/or synchro damage. Superior in shift operations and half-engagement feel, this clutch disc is recommended for any sports/performance use. The clutch covers are designed to achieve a clamping load that is approximately 40% higher than the OEM part allowing a higher torque transmitting capacity. Ductile material is used for all pressure plates and high burst strength can be achieved in all temperature ranges.
